1Tribe Farm is situated on more than 300 acres in Augusta County, Virginia, less than 3 hours from Washington, DC. The farm's mission is to provide a retreat space where guests can renew their spirits and reconnect with nature through restful accommodations and nourishment, both physical and spiritual.
Comfortable shared accommodations will be provided in the charming restored 1Tribe Farmhouse and The Summit House with beautiful vistas.
Jennifer Matthaei Cottrell, IAYT yoga therapist, E-RYT200 is returned to prepare her nourishing and healthy meals for guests throughout the weekend, and we are so grateful!
Her creations are flavorful, healthy, satisfying, and mindful of any dietary requests. Ingredients will be organic and locally sourced when possible. Vegetarian and gluten free options will be available with every meal.
Jennifer has had private instruction in Cuban, Indian, Korean, and Thai cooking from restaurant owners and friends, and possesses a true love of food, and a passion for the Zen of food preparation. As a Certified Yoga Therapist and Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor, she loves to incorporate Ayurvedic principles in the kitchen. She is an avid recipe researcher, and loves to try out her newest discoveries in her home test kitchen on her husband, David, and his friends.
